The Handled Client Intake Form helps us set up your products and shipping preferences before launch. Your Welcome Email should include a link to your Intake Form.
The Products tab is required before Handled can receive inventory or ship a product. The Ship Methods tab tells us how to fulfill orders based on the shipping methods your customers select at checkout.
Please complete both tabs as accurately as possible.
NOTE: Please contact contact support@handledcommerce.com before entering any item that is on Handled's Prohibited/Restricted list.
Products Tab
The Products tab tells Handled what products you sell and how each product should be handled, packaged, tracked, and shipped.
Please enter one row for each product or product variant you plan to send to Handled.
For example, if the same shirt comes in three sizes, each size should have its own row if each size has its own SKU.
Required Product Fields
SKU
Enter the SKU exactly as it appears in your selling channel or inventory system.
The SKU is the primary identifier Handled uses to receive inventory, match products to orders, and fulfill shipments. Please make sure each SKU is unique.
Product Name
Enter the product name.
This should be clear enough for our warehouse team to identify the item.
Packaging Preference
Select how you would like Handled to package this product.
Common options include:
- Handled to Choose — Handled will select the most appropriate packaging.
- Box (Handled to choose) — Handled will use a box and choose the best available size.
- Polybag (Handled to choose) — Handled will use a polybag and choose the best available size.
- Bubble Mailer (Handled to choose) — Handled will use a bubble mailer and choose the best available size.
- No packaging required — The product does not need additional outbound packaging.
- Always use a specific package type — Use this when the product must ship in a specific box, mailer, or other package.
Specific Package
Complete this field only if the product must always use a specific package type.
If you selected Always use a specific package type, enter the required package here.
Optional Product Fields
Some product fields are optional, but we recommend completing as many as possible. Complete product data helps improve receiving accuracy, shipping accuracy, rate shopping, inventory tracking, and international shipping documentation.
Basic Product Information
UPC
Enter the UPC if the product has one.
FNSKU
Enter the FNSKU if the product is associated with Amazon fulfillment or Amazon-specific labeling.
Detailed Product Description
Enter a brief product description.
This is helpful when product names are vague, multiple products look similar, or the warehouse team may need additional context to identify the item.
Product Weight and Dimensions
These fields are recommended because they help Handled estimate shipping options more accurately.
Weight
Enter the product weight in ounces.
Length, Width, and Height
Enter the product dimensions in inches.
These should generally reflect the product itself, not the final shipping box, unless the product ships in its own packaging.
Special Handling Fields
Complete these fields if the product requires extra care.
Fragile?
Check the box for any product that is fragile or breakable.
Liquid?
Check the box for any product that contains liquid.
These fields help us identify items that may require additional packing care or carrier/service restrictions.
Inventory Tracking Fields
Complete these fields if the product requires lot, batch, expiration date, production date, or serial number tracking.
Track Lot/Batch?
Check the box for any product that must be tracked by lot or batch number.
Track Expiration Date?
Check the box for any product that must be tracked by expiration date.
Track Production Date?
Check the box for any product that must be tracked by production date.
Track Serial Number?
Check the box for any product that must be tracked by serial number.
International Shipping Fields
If your products may ship internationally, please complete the customs-related fields where applicable.
Exclude from Customs?
Select TRUE only if the item should be excluded from customs documentation.
Most physical products should not be excluded from customs documentation.
Declared Value
Enter the declared value of the product in USD.
HS Tariff
Enter the HS tariff code, if known.
Origin Country
Enter the country where the product was manufactured or produced.
Customs Description
Enter a clear, plain-language description of the product for customs purposes.
Ship Methods Tab
The Ship Methods tab tells Handled how to fulfill orders based on the sales channel the order came from and the shipping method selected by your customer at checkout.
Please enter each unique combination of Sales Channel and Shipping Method exactly as it appears in your selling channel.
For example, if your Shopify checkout includes the following options:
- Free Shipping
- Standard Shipping
- Expedited Shipping
- Overnight Shipping
each of those should be entered as a separate row with Shopify listed as the Sales Channel.
If you sell through multiple channels, such as Shopify and Amazon, please list the shipping methods for each channel separately.
Sales Channel
Enter the sales channel where the order will come from.
Examples may include:
- Shopify
- Amazon
- WooCommerce
- TikTok Shop
- Manual Orders
- EDI
- Other
If the same shipping method appears on more than one sales channel, please enter it once for each sales channel.
For example, Standard Shipping on Shopify and Standard Shipping on Amazon should be listed as two separate rows.
Shipping Method
Enter the shipping method exactly as it appears in your selling channel.
Small differences in spelling, punctuation, spacing, or capitalization may prevent the shipping method from mapping correctly.
For example, if your checkout says Free Shipping, enter Free Shipping — not “Free,” “Free Ship,” or “Standard Free Shipping.”
Shipping Strategy
For each sales channel and shipping method, select the shipping strategy Handled should use.
Available options include:
- 1-5 Business Day Services — USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground
- 2-Day Services — UPS 2nd Day Air or FedEx 2-Day
- 1-Day Services — UPS Next Day Air or FedEx Overnight
- Economy Services — UPS Ground Saver or FedEx SurePost
For international shipping methods or carrier-specific services, please contact support@handledcommerce.com before completing this section.
Note that Handled will always use USPS services for Military Mail destinations.

Before Submitting the Form
Before sending the completed form to Handled, please confirm:
- Every product you plan to send to Handled is listed on the Products tab.
- Each product has a SKU, product name, and packaging preference.
- Any fragile, liquid, or special handling products are marked.
- Any lot, expiration date, production date, or serial number tracking requirements are marked.
- Customs fields are completed for products that may ship internationally.
- Every customer-facing shipping method is listed on the Ship Methods tab.
- Shipping method names match your selling channel exactly.
